There’s a great crop of new organizers and volunteers coming together, but they can’t do it alone.
Come to the open volunteer meeting tomorrow night in Charlottesville.
Date: Monday, July 16
Time: Eat at 6pm, meeting at 7pm
Location: Guadalajara restaurant (back room), 3450 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville (434-978-4313)
Volunteer committees are starting to form. Volunteer coordinators and volunteers are needed for several committees, including Restaurant Week, Cooking Demos, Advertising, Speakers, Music, and more. For more info, contact Robin at robin_fetter@yahoo.com.
Every person who adopts a vegetarian or vegan diet, or reduces their consumption of animal products, makes a real difference for animals and the environment, and we’re very grateful to the folks who are keeping the Veg Fest going and bringing fresh ideas to the effort.

  1. Or, we could just let the Cville Veggie Fest die with dignity and honor. Their founder and sponsor, Voices For Animals sums it up best: http://cvillevegfest.org/. Imagine the animals that could be helped with all the labor it takes to put on this festival. Imagine the lobbying that could be done. The veggie fests are fun, but they’re preaching to the choir on veganism.

    • I don’t Mark, I’m from Georgia but now live in Williamsburg, Virginia. I “happened’ upon the fest in 2008 after a Humpback hike, and have gone every year since: Made friends with whom I do dog rescue, found Arbonne cosmetics, and met my Naturopathic doctor there. I am volunteering-it’s a great cause.
